He served as an economic adviser at the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (“GCC-Stat”), and before that worked as an economist at the Office of the Advisor to H.M. the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs.

Former Lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University AMIDEAST, College of Banking and Financial Studies and Arab Open University while serving as president of Oman Economic Association (NGO).

Awarded a PhD in economics from the Center for Strategic Economic Studies at Victoria University in Australia in 2010 and a master’s degree in science and financial economics from Boston University in the United States in September 2000.
